Here are a few of the criminal law stories that occurred around the state of Alabama this past week:
- A Pinson man faces negligent homicide charges after allegedly killing a woman in a head-on collision while under the influence of an undisclosed substance.
- Tuscaloosa police have charged three men with third-degree burglary in connection with a July 12th robbery at Guns & Ammo that resulted in over 40 guns stolen. Two of the suspects are still at large while a third is in police custody.
- A late night shooting in Mount Olive led police to engage in a six-hour standoff with a Cropwell man. After trying to coerce the man (who was at home with his two small children) via phone, SWAT team members eventually entered the home at 7 a.m. and arrested the man.
