- Walker County police have arrested a sixth suspect in the murder case of Dora teen Nicholas Hawkins. The 39-year-old female suspect was charged with first-degree hindering prosecution.
- Agents from the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force seized $40,000 worth of synthetic marijuana in Tuscaloosa as well as firearms and other drug paraphernalia. They also arrested and charged Earl Lee Burton, Jr., with trafficking of a synthesized controlled substance.
- An Alabaster mom faces three counts of child abandonment and three counts of willful abuse of a child after leaving her three teenagers home alone for several weeks.
