Here are a few of the criminal law stories that occurred around the state of Alabama this past week:
- Tuesday morning saw 87 police officers participating in the felony warrant roundup “Operation Bullseye” for St. Clair County. Law enforcement served 112 warrants for felony assaults, drug crimes, sex offenders and burglary offenders. Fifty were arrested by 3 p.m.
- Calhoun County has arrested a 22-year-old Wellington resident, charging him with four counts of third degree burglary after he allegedly broke into four local churches. An investigator used a new AFIX Tracker technology to lift latent prints from one of the crime scenes and compare them in a multi-agency database.
- The two teens indicted in the January 5th murder of Mike Gilotti also face charges for an attempted murder in Fultondale nearly 24 hours before Gilotti. Their hearing will continue until April 7th.
