Here are a few of the criminal law stories that occurred around the state of Alabama this past week:
- A Birmingham teenager has been charged in the April 30th shooting death of Ronald Earl Brown, 55. An arrested affidavit for the teen alleges that his motive was robbery of money and/or drugs.
- Three Alabama men and one Arizona man have been arrested for drug trafficking charges after police seized 23 pounds of meth. The suspects are charged with conspiring to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine in Jefferson County and throughout north Alabama between January 2014 and May 2016.
- On Saturday, Jefferson County police seized 50 illegal gambling machines in Mulga after receiving an anonymous tip. The Lucky D Arcade was found to be operating without a business license.
