Here are a few of the criminal law stories that occurred around the state of Alabama this past week:

  • A verbal altercation at the intersection of Alabama 216 and I 20/59 led to the death of a 39-year-old male. Though originally thought to be self-defense, McCalla man, Matthew Brent Wilson, has been charged with capital murder after probable cause was found.
  • Madison County drug agents arrested two Huntsville brothers on Monday. Police seized steroids, a pound of marijuana and 12 grams of heroin.
  • Police continued “Operation Crack down” in Brookside this past weekend. Suspect Anthony Lukeen Edwards faces charges for menacing, three counts of distribution of a controlled substance (three counts), attempting to elude, resisting arrest and others.
